Direct Care Services
We are pleased to formally introduce the Hability Direct Care Services Operations Management Team - known to most of you as The Hub.
The Hub is our dedicated support desk, providing 24-hour operational guidance, service continuity, incident support and management and frontline support to our Disability Support Workers. This team is the backbone of our direct care operations, and we are proud of the group of people who make it work.
We wanted to take a moment to introduce each member of the team and share a little about their Hability journey to this point.
Meet the Team
Chloe started at Hability as a casual Disability Support Worker in 2023 while studying Nursing. She became a Learning Services Officer (LSO) at Hanbury Street in 2024 before being promoted to Clinical Assistant and training as a Behaviour Support Practitioner. A chronic over achiever, Chloe also completed her Nursing studies and became a mum. In February 2026 we were thrilled when Chloe accepted the role of Clinical Operations Manager (Registered Nurse). Chloe brings a unique combination of frontline disability support experience and clinical nursing expertise to the team. She reports to Chantelle Graham, Director of Direct Care Services.
Iris is a Hability veteran. Starting out as a very young casual DSW in 2022, Iris served as the Project Coordinator organising the refurbishment of our Hanbury Street property. She joined us as a permanent staff member in 2023 and trained as a Therapy Assistant and a lead worker at Svoboda House. She has spent the past three years working intensively with our most complex participants and has built remarkable rapport with them as a result. Iris is currently an undergraduate in Psychological Science at the University of Newcastle, and brings deep operational knowledge and strong participant relationships to The Hub.
Lydia came to Newcastle from the UK via Lismore and a career in pathology collection before joining Hability in 2024 as a casual DSW and Stable Hand at The Stable Place. In 2025 Lydia transferred to work in SIL Services where she found her passion. In 2026, Lydia accepted a Direct Care Officer role in the new Support Hub team. She is currently an undergraduate in Nursing at the University of Newcastle and brings a developing clinical perspective to her work with the operations team.
Rose is another Hability veteran who started out as a Stable Hand at The Stable Place in 2022 and completed her TAFE Certificate III as an Animal Attendant before leaving us to work in equine veterinary care and to study as a Vet Nurse. In 2024, Rose returned to Hability as a casual DSW and accepted a full-time role as Direct Care Officer on the newly established Support Hub in March 2026. Rose is also a competitive equestrian and horse trainer - so she knows a thing or two about staying calm under pressure.
Mason is originally from Port Macquarie brings four years of disability sector experience with him to Hability. He first joined us in 2025 as a casual DSW after relocating to Newcastle to play football. Mason had to return to Port Macquarie unexpectedly during 2025 to care for a close family member. We are very pleased to welcome him back in a full-time Direct Care Officer role. Before joining the disability sector, Mason became the youngest Domino’s franchisee at age 19, rostering and supervising over 250 staff. He also made his debut as a semi-professional football (soccer) player at 16 playing for Newcastle before training with Melbourne’s Pro team. Mason brings strong leadership instincts and operational experience to the team.a
